I have started reading A Scanner Darkly and I AM finding it a slow read. Mainly because so far, I don't give a shit about anyone in the story [I guess what I'm trying to say is that the characters are not engaging me] and I'm finding Dick's take on women ... well ... dick-ish [probably the reason why the characters are not engaging me]. I'm sure [hope] it gets better.
